Tsavo East National Park is one of Kenya's oldest and largest national parks, covering approximately 13,747 square kilometers. Opened in 1948, it's famous for its large herds of red-dusted elephants, maneless lions, and diverse wildlife. The park features the Galana River, Lugard Falls, and the Yatta Plateau — the world's longest lava flow. The landscape is characterized by semi-arid grasslands, savanna, and acacia woodlands.
